Discussion on the Dutch Code of Criminal Procedure (KUHAP) with Prosecutor Jouke Osinga

On 17 December, IJRS held its fourth Regular Discussion Session (#4) featuring an external speaker. For this session, IJRS welcomed Mr. Jouke Osinga, a Public Prosecutor at the Eastern Netherlands Public Prosecution Service. The discussion was attended not only by IJRS researchers but also by colleagues from other organizations, including LeIP, ICJR, and TAF.

During the session, the speaker addressed several key issues, including the role of public prosecutors in the Netherlands in the investigation and prosecution process, developments in penal mediation within the Dutch criminal justice system, and mechanisms for submitting restitution claims for victims of crime.
