Dutch Criminal Procedural Law Discussion with Judge Nico Tuijn

On 23 October, IJRS held a discussion with Dutch Judge Nico Tuijn, who also serves as Deputy Justice at the Court of Appeal of ’s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. The session was attended by researchers from IJRS and LeIP, who engaged in discussions on various aspects of Dutch criminal procedural law, including the role of the examining magistrate, judicial mechanisms for determining the severity of sentences in the Netherlands, and restitution.
