Indonesia Judicial Research Society (IJRS) is a legal entity in a form of association and it is registered under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. IJRS is independent and professional in nature, it runs in the field of legal research and advocacy. IJRS was established pusuant to the Decision of Minister of Law and Human Rights Number AHU-0014462.AH.01.07.Tahun 2018 on 23rd of November 2018.

A just and reasonable judiciary and legal policies for each human being.

  1. Provide credible and quality evidence-based legal and social research;
  2. Supporting stakeholders on strategic legal issues;

Expert Member

Dr. Diani Sadiawati, S.H., LLM.

Dr. Diani Sadiawati completed her law degree in Indonesia, pursued her master’s degree in law from the University of Leiden, the Netherlands and completed her doctorate in law in Indonesia. He previously served as Expert Staff for Institutional Relations at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas. Now he serves as Special Staff for Sustainable Development Goals Head of OIKN and Lecturer at UPN Veterans.

Dr. Yunus Husein, S.H., LLM.

Dr. Yunus Husein earned a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia, a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Legal Studies from the Washington College of Law, The American University, Washington D.C., United States of America, and a doctorate in Law from the University of Indonesia. He has served as head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK). Now he is active as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia.

Dr. Fachrizal Afandi, S.Psi., S.H., M.H

Dr. Fachrizal Afandi, S.Psi., S.H., M.H is a legal academic who studies criminal law, the criminal justice system and socio-legal studies at Brawijaya University. He received his doctorate at Leiden University. He is trusted to be the General Chair of the Indonesian Socio-Legal Studies Association (ASSLESI) for the 2021-2024 period. He is also active as a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Criminal Justice Reform (ICJR) in conducting policy studies related to criminal law and the criminal justice system in Indonesia.

At the Univ. Brawijaya, He is trusted to be the Chair of the Center for Legal Documentation and Information, Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University, and Secretary for Increasing International Publication of Scientific Work of Brawijaya University Lecturers.

Theodora Yuni Shah Putri, S.H., M.H

Theodora Yuni Shah Putri is a lecturer in the Criminal Law Study Field at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia. He is pursuing his doctoral studies at The Australian National University. He has experience as a Legal Consultant in Government Agencies such as the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, the KPK, and the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia. He was once a Researcher at MAPPI FH UI; Indonesia Accountability Transparency and Anti-Corruption Activity Manager at Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice 2 (AIPJ 2; 2017-2020); Indonesia Technical Coordinator for Judicial Reform, Australia Indonesia Partnership for Justice (AIPJ; 2015-2017); Indonesia Prosecutorial Reform Expert, USAID (2010-2015), etc.

Dr. Alfindra Primaldhi, B.A., S.Psi., M.Si.

Dr. Alfindra Primaldhi, B.A., S.Psi., M.Si. is a Researcher at the Demographic Institute, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LD FEB UI). He earned his doctorate at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia. He has experience working as a non-permanent lecturer at the University of Indonesia in research methods courses. Apart from that, he is also a researcher at the Center for Terrorism and Social Conflict Studies at the UI Faculty of Psychology, and has experience as a consultant in developing the Legal Development Index & Access to Justice Index at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas of the Republic of Indonesia.

Dr. Lidwina Inge Nurtjahyo, S.H., M.Si

Dr. Lidwina Inge Nurtjahyo has been a lecturer in the field of Community Law and Development Studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia since 1996. She received her doctorate at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia. Currently, he is part of the legal development index compilation team with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas of the Republic of Indonesia and is focused on being a permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia.

Dr. Paksi C.K Walandouw, S.E., M.A.

Dr. Paksi C.K Walandouw, S.E., M.A. currently serves as Deputy Head of Research at the Demographic Institute, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LD FEB UI). He earned his doctorate at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia. He has served as Principal Investigator for the project “Improving Data and Analysis for Healthy and Productive Aging – Indonesia Survey”; “Time Use and Women’s Agency Study”; Gojek’s Socioeconomic Impact; etc. He is also active as an analyst in various projects such as: “Consultant Services to Implement a national Baseline KAP Survey to Support Communication Strategy for a Social Marketing Campaign”; “Data Processing and Analysis related to Funding Programs for Underprivileged Women’s Groups”; etc.

Nisa Istiani or we call Mbak Nisa is a researcher, lecturer and consultant in the field of law. Completed S1 at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia and S2 at the School of Law, University of Wisconsin, United States of America. Currently completing a doctoral program at the University of Washington, United States of America. See more

Junaedi Saibih or commonly called Bang Juned has been a teaching staff in the Field of Procedural Law Studies, Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia since 2002. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws in 2002 and a Master of Science in European Studies in the Specialty of European Law from the University of Indonesia in 2005. See more

Hasril Hertanto or commonly known as Bang Acil is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (FHUI). Bang Acil now serves as a Lecturer at the Indonesian Law Faculty. Bang Acil was one of the founders of the Indonesian Judicial Monitoring Society (MaPPI) in 2000. See more

Wiwiek Awiati who is usually called Mbak Wiwiek is a graduate of the Bachelor and Postgraduate programs from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia (FHUI). In addition, Mba Wiwiek also had the opportunity to take a summer program at the University of Wisconsin Law School as well as a visiting professor at Harvard Law School. See more

Choky Risda Ramadhan or commonly called Bang Choky is a Researcher and Academic of the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia on issues of justice, criminal procedural law, anti-corruption, and criminal policy. See more
