The Impact of the Law on Sexual Violence Crimes and the 2023 Criminal Code on the Role of Prosecutors and Judges in Handling Sexual Violence Cases

This research aims to improve the understanding of Judges and Prosecutors of the various legal innovations stipulated in the Law on Sexual Violence Crimes and the 2023 Criminal Code, as well as to identify opportunities for application and challenges that may be faced in the implementation of these new provisions in judicial practice. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide recommendations to strengthen coordination between Judges and Prosecutors in handling cases related to women and children, and ensure that every legal process runs fairly and in line with applicable legal principles. Thus, this synchronization is expected to support a more effective and consistent implementation of the protection of the rights of women and children in Indonesia.
