Synopsis:

With the transition from the Wetboek van Strafrecht (Criminal Code) to the 2023 Criminal Code (KUHP 2023), one of the efforts undertaken to ensure prosecutors’ readiness in carrying out their duties is the compilation of the book “Review of the 2023 Criminal Code by the High Prosecutor’s Office of the Special Region of Jakarta”. This book was published through a collaboration between the Attorney General’s Office of Indonesia, particularly in the jurisdiction of the Jakarta Special Region, and the Indonesia Judicial Research Society (IJRS). The article-by-article analysis of the 2023 Criminal Code will be further discussed in this book. This initiative by the Jakarta Special Region High Prosecutor’s Office aims to reach a wide audience to enrich the discourse on the 2023 Criminal Code. Additionally, it is hoped that this book will serve as a reference for all law enforcement officials in Indonesia, fostering a shared paradigm to create synergy in the enforcement of the 2023 Criminal Code.
