Synopsis:
Regulations related to discrimination in Indonesia are currently scattered in various laws. Article 15 of Law No. 40/2008 on the Elimination of Racial and Ethnic Discrimination (PDRE Law) stipulates criminal sanctions for acts of discrimination in the form of distinction, exclusion, restriction, or selection based on race and ethnicity. This Advocacy Paper is written to present the findings in the advocacy efforts that IJRS has carried out, so that civil society who will carry out advocacy in the future can understand the role and policy direction of each ministry / agency. That way civil society networks can determine effective advocacy strategies for proposing regulations on anti-discrimination.
