Nisa Istiani or we call her Mbak Nisa is a researcher, lecturer and consultant in the field of law. She completed her undergraduate degree at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia and her master’s degree at the School of Law, University of Wisconsin, USA. She is currently completing her doctoral program at the University of Washington, USA. Ms. Nisa has 21 years of experience in the field of law and development. She worked for five years in the Office of the Judicial Reform Team at the Supreme Court on the implementation of the “Blueprint for Judicial Reform”.
Mbak Nisa has also worked with various international development organizations such as being the Technical Coordinator for Judicial Reform in the AIPJ-Ausaid Project, Deputy Project Manager for the Justice Sector Reform Program Support for EU-UNDP, and Project Manager for the Rule of Law Program at the International Development Law Organization (IDLO).
She teaches various business law courses and also does consultancy work for various government agencies and ministries. Her portfolio includes, insolvency law reform, competition law, anti-corruption, public procurement, training for the judiciary, and project management.
In addition to being active in judicial reform activities, Mbak Nisa is also an active lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Al-Azhar University Indonesia.
