Bestha Inatsan Ashila, also known as Etha, is a law graduate from the Faculty of Law of Universitas Indonesia. In addition to her formal education, Etha also received non-formal education through Australia Awards Short Course and Australia Awards Fellowship during 2021-2023, further improving her capabilities in handling researches on issues relating to gender, human rights, and vulnerable groups.

Etha was also involved as a program manager for ‘Impact of COVID-19 on Access to Justice for Women and Marginalized Group’ Assessment in Indonesia that was supported by the UN Women in 2022. In 2023, she was involved as a researcher in a program called Implementing and Monitoring Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination Principles in the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) and Supreme Court (SC).

Asides from being active in programs, Etha produced many writings along with other researchers in the form of books on researches and studies, as well as articles published on various media, including The Conversation, Magdalene, and Hukum Online.
