Andreas Nathaniel Marbun (or usually goes by Marbun) is a criminal law policy researcher at IJRS. Marbun is a law graduate from the Faculty of Law of Universitas Indonesia (Concentration on Criminal Law) and finished his Master degree from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) with specialization on Criminal Justice and Criminology.
In his role at IJRS, Marbun has authored numerous publications covering criminal law policy and criminal justice, addressing issues such as anti-corruption, narcotics policy, and restorative justice. In addition, Marbun has conducted myriad researchers, both qualitative and quantitative, pertaining to issues on criminal law and criminal justice policy in Indonesia. Moreover, Marbun’s research endeavors, whether internally or externally funded, have consistently yielded impactful publications that serve as foundational resources for the government’s policy making process.
