Open Government Indonesia Meeting

On 22 April 2026, IJRS, together with Publish What You Pay (PWYP) Indonesia, held a meeting with the Directorate of Foreign Relations of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and the National Secretariat of Open Government Indonesia (OGI).

This meeting marked an important milestone in fostering collaboration and co-creation among the Government, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and the OGI Secretariat. This effort forms part of “The Partnership for Democracy and Accountability Programme” by the Open Government Partnership, with support from the European Union.

Three key agendas were discussed during the meeting:

  1. Strengthening the OGI governance framework through the development of an urgency paper aimed at reinforcing the regulatory framework, principles, and institutional position of OGI as a vital instrument of democracy.
  2. Ensuring the active participation of CSOs in the implementation of commitments under the OGI National Action Plan (NAP), including monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) processes.
  3. Ensuring the mainstreaming of government openness issues across all government institutions, supported by measurable indicators within the national development plan.
