Synopsis:

Indonesia just enacted 3 new laws that would greatly affect the Criminal Justice System in Indonesia. The Old CC (Criminal Code) 1915 as a Dutch colonial inheritance will be replaced with The New CC 2023. The Old CPC (Criminal Procedure Code) 1981 will also be replaced by The New CPC 2025. Lastly, the CAA (Criminal Adjustment Act) 2026 will also come into effect, which will revise some provisions in The New CC 2023 and over 180 sectoral laws governing criminal provisions. This pocketbook provides a more detailed discussion of the key changes in Indonesia’s new Criminal Code and Code of Criminal Procedure.
