Synopsis:

This reflection by the Indonesia Judicial Research Society (IJRS) on the implementation of access to justice and good governance is presented as an overview of the efforts and challenges faced by the government over the past five years (2020–2024) in achieving these goals. It also highlights the role of IJRS through research and community empowerment initiatives aimed at supporting their realization. In addition to presenting the state of implementation, this reflection includes a number of critical notes in the form of policy recommendations from IJRS to the Government, intended to improve future implementation.

The preparation of this reflection is based on various data obtained directly by IJRS from relevant Ministries/Agencies, as well as data from official documents such as Annual Reports, Performance Reports, and other official publications. These data were collected, processed, analyzed, and compared with IJRS findings from research and direct field observations through surveys and community empowerment activities, in order to provide a comprehensive overview and deliver effective, solution-oriented policy recommendations.
