established in 2018 with a strong commitment to advancing legal and social reform in Indonesia through evidence-based research, advocacy, and public education. As an independent civil society organization, IJRS positions itself as both a connector and a solution-seeker, working collaboratively with government institutions, civil society coalitions, and communities to promote people-centered approaches to justice.<\/p><p>IJRS&#8217;s work is grounded in four key areas.<\/p><ol><li><b>First, in the reform of the criminal justice system and legal policies,<\/b> IJRS engages in rigorous research and advocacy to support improvements in areas such as narcotics law, restorative justice, capital punishment, and the development of Indonesia\u2019s Criminal Code and Criminal Procedural Code.<\/li><li><b>Second, in the realm of gender equality, disability, and social inclusion (GEDSI),<\/b> IJRS actively promotes legal and policy frameworks that address the rights and needs of vulnerable groups, including survivors of sexual violence, children at risk of early marriage, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized communities.<\/li><li><b>The third focus area is strengthening good governance within the legal system.<\/b> IJRS believes that quality legal protection must be underpinned by capable and transparent institutions. It therefore supports reform initiatives in law enforcement, institutional planning, needs-based budgeting, and open government practices.<\/li><li><b>Finally, IJRS is dedicated to increasing access to justice<\/b> by conducting legal needs assessments, enhancing legal aid implementation, empowering communities, and monitoring the effectiveness of legal services and policy execution.<br \/><br \/><\/li><\/ol><p>Through its core principle of Discovering Justice, IJRS is committed to continuously generating evidence, fostering inclusive collaboration, and ensuring that Indonesia\u2019s legal
