Nanda Oktaviani (Nanda) has been graduated from Sociology, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia in 2015. Her interest in research (especially quantitative) made Nanda join as a researcher at IJRS. Nanda’s interest in quantitative research and data has made Nanda focus on developing quantitative research methods conducted by IJRS. Nanda is also part of the Knowledge Management division to help manage technology products and IJRS branding.

During his career as a social science and law researcher, Nanda’s experience was involved in the preparation of the access to justice index in Indonesia. In the preparation of this index, Nanda joined the research team in the Civil Society Consortium consisting of the Indonesian Judicial Research Society, the Indonesian Legal Roundtable and the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation in collaboration with Bappenas RI. In addition to the preparation of the index, Nanda is also a member of the research team in a survey of legal needs in the provinces of Lampung and South Sulawesi. Nanda also participated in the preparation of guidelines for the punishment of criminal acts of corruption at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia.

Currently Nanda is involved in several other programs such as:

  • Research on the Death Penalty
  • Narcotics-related research

In addition to working on the program, Nanda is also involved in advocating the implementation of the next access to justice index with Bappenas RI as well as improving the Social Security module with BPS RI based on the access to justice index and advocating the implementation of Open Government Indonesia.

While at IJRS, Nanda managed to get achievements such as:

  • Successfully became the team that compiled the first Access to Justice Index in ASIA and entered the RPJMN 2020-2024
  • Make an online presentation at The Socio-Legal Studies Association Conference 2021 with Dio Ashar (Executive Director of IJRS)
