Gladys Nadya Arianto is a criminology graduate from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP UI) and currently works as a Researcher at the Indonesia Judicial Research Society (IJRS). Since joining IJRS, Gladys has been involved in data-based research and advocacy in the legal and social fields using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Some of the research experiences carried out related to Adequate Accommodations for Persons with Disabilities in the Judicial Process, Research on Gaps and Policies for Handling Narcotics Crime Cases in Indonesia, Monitoring and Evaluation of SDGs 16 and Survey of Legal Needs of Vulnerable Groups.

Currently, Gladys has the opportunity to be involved in measuring the Access to Justice Index and Legal Development Index in Indonesia 2021 with Bappenas RI and assisting the Prosecutor’s Access to Justice Working Group in preparing the Prosecutor’s Guidelines on Adequate Accommodation and Case Handling that is Easily Accessible and Inclusive for Persons with Disabilities in the Judicial Process . Gladys is also a member of the IJRS Knowledge Management division to manage technology products in the form of data portals.

Prior to joining IJRS, Gladys had experience compiling academic papers related to “The Urgency of Ratifying the International Convention on the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearances” and assisting qualitative research on “The Existence of Komnas HAM in Resolving Serious Human Rights Cases of Past Violations” under the work of the Impunity Monitoring Division, Commission for Missing Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS) Gladys was also involved as an Assistant for a qualitative and quantitative social research project conducted with lecturers at the University of Indonesia on crime issues.

Gladys has also been a participant in short courses related to human rights, namely Living the Human Rights (LIGHTS) 2019 by LBH Masyarakat and Human Rights and Transitional Justice 2020 by AJAR.
